Needing motivation, or acting half-heartedly?
Imagine embarking on a long journey for something you're passionate about, with no guarantee of success. Would you start immediately, or hesitate? Might you even turn back, paralyzed by uncertainty and a lack of clear vision? Is it worse to never try, or to try and have others dismiss it as a half-hearted attempt?
Even if you chase that passion, what if the destination proves worthless? Maybe someone already spoiled the view, or you realize the path is too dangerous to navigate. Sometimes, the journey simply isn't worth the risk.
That's how I feel about my projects sometimes. It might sound dramatic, but if I don't feel the right motivation, I assume the project is doomed to fail. Sometimes, negative comments from people who don't understand the vision are enough to ruin it for me.
So, when the motivation vanishes, I take it as a sign to stop. It's not about giving up half-heartedly; it's recognizing when it's better to jump ship. And who knows? Maybe someone will inspire me, and the project will return full force later on.
